Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Farnborough, UK is seeking a Senior RS Aircraft Component Repair Tech Sr (FAR) – Structures to lead repair and overhaul of aircraft components in accordance with GAL Repair Station requirements.

The role requires reading blueprints and engineering data, readiness to perform sheetmetal and structural repairs, and to supervise repair activities while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, eng docs, CMP data, CBs and ASCs.
• Proficient in operation of all tools & equipment in the dept.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• Experience in sheetmetal and/or hydraulic overhaul.
• Avionics/elect electronics repair experience may offset some requirements.
• APU removal, install and service.

Responsibilities

• Master advanced skills and perform complex repairs and overhauls.
• Repair mechanical assemblies and subassemblies per manuals and data.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional tests.
• Inspect detail parts to ensure conformity to specs.
• Remove skins and components on flight controls and structures.
• Demonstrate repair techniques and use of special tools.
• Maintain required paperwork per Repair Station rules.
• Ensure material flow and compliance with regs.
• Assist with training of new technicians.
