Job summary

Napier AI is seeking a Lead Engineer to build and shape an AI engineering capability in Belfast. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to developing AI-driven systems to detect financial crime while leading a small team.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in engineering, a strong programming background in Go and Python, and experience in integrating models into production. The position offers a hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in a senior or lead engineering role.
• Strong experience delivering production-grade systems.
• Experience leading engineers or acting in a technical leadership role.
• Agile delivery experience with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Exposure to AI/ML systems or analytics products.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven features within Napier's platform.
• Contribute to development, including coding and testing.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Collaborate with Product and Data teams.
• Help define engineering standards and practices.
