Job summary
Citi Belfast seeks a hands-on engineering lead to drive AI-powered product development and shape engineering culture. You will provide technical leadership while staying close to code, partnering across the organisation to build scalable developer platforms and adopt Generative AI and modern practices.
Responsibilities span architecture, design, and mentoring; you’ll set direction across frontend to backend, cloud services, and APIs, while collaborating with senior stakeholders to align platform
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software engineering orgs in a hands-on capacity.
- Strong software engineering expertise across modern languages & frameworks (Python, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, React).
- Experience delivering AI-enabled or Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Drive design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications for critical business functions.
- Remain hands-on with architecture, code reviews, and engineering decisions.
- Set technical direction across full-stack ecosystems (frontend, backend, APIs, cloud, platform).
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align platform strategy with priorities.
- Deliver high-visibility, business-critical programmes.
