Job summary

IFS is seeking a lead engineer to drive AI-driven development within autonomous, AI-native teams. You will write production code, own it in production, and set the bar for a small, highly capable engineering group.

The role focuses on workforce management, scheduling, and project delivery used by construction and engineering teams, with real-world impact on costs and risk. You will lead across front-end and back-end, design APIs, and shape technical direction while aligning with customer

Qualifications

• A strong engineer who genuinely enjoys leading people and wants to stay close to the code while doing it.
• You have depth in at least one area and the range to work across the stack.
• You've led or mentored engineers and focus on customer and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small autonomous team by setting technical direction and driving delivery.
• Design and ship full-lifecycle features across front-end and back-end.
• Build and consume APIs and event-driven services across IFS Cloud and customer systems.
• Make performance and scalability decisions that hold under load.
• Document the why, not just the what, and raise engineering practices.
