Morson Edge is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical systems design for aerospace projects at the client site in Samlesbury, Lancashire. You will deliver detailed designs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

The role requires five years of experience in aerospace electrical design and a degree in Electrical Engineering, with professional registration desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Professional registration or working towards registration is desirable.
• Minimum five years’ experience in electrical design within aerospace.

Responsabilités

• Develop and produce detailed electrical design documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, system architecture).
• Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design teams.
• Ensure designs comply with aerospace standards, safety regulations and QA protocols.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and FMEA for electrical systems.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate designs.
• Support proposals, cost estimations and project schedules.
• Identify design improvements to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Participate in testing and validation activities to verify design integrity.
• Stay updated on emerging aerospace electrical technologies and trends.
