Morson Edge seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead detailed electrical system design for aerospace projects at client site in Samlesbury, Lancashire. You will drive documentation, reviews and compliance with industry standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in aerospace electrical design, strong CAD skills, and ability to mentor junior engineers within multidisciplinary teams. This is a contract, full-time role with occasional extra hours to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in aerospace electrical design and documentation.
• Experience with electrical design tools and standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed electrical design documentation, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with aerospace standards, safety regulations and QA.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and FMEA for electrical systems.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate designs.
• Support preparation of technical proposals, cost estimates and schedules.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance performance.
