Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join a high‑integrity aerospace environment in Yeovil on a 12‑month contract. The role covers full lifecycle electronics design for controllers used in Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems across aerospace platforms.

You will apply analogue, digital and power circuit design expertise, work with Mentor Graphics ECAD, and drive design reviews, documentation and manufacturing packs to meet stringent regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of design principles and industry best practices.
• Proficient in low power digital circuit design.
• Understanding of analogue interfaces and low frequency design.
• Experience with ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred).
• DFM/DFT methodologies knowledge.
• Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end electronics design lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.
• Define electronics requirements, design plans, and specifications.
• Design analogue and digital circuits and produce PCB layouts and manufacturing packs.
• Produce design, verification, and test documentation for certification.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate complex content clearly.
• Ensure compliance with quality processes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers for NPI.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing issues and in-service investigations.
