An award-winning renewable energy consultancy seeks a Principal Consultant to lead project delivery and consultancy services in Scotland. Responsibilities include strategic planning, technical reporting, and client management in wind, solar, and hydro sectors. Job Purpose: To establish our client as a significant supplier for renewable energy, planning & EIA services in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking Principal Consultant elements of consultancy services and project delivery, including formulating planning strategies, resolving planning risks, technical report drafting, overseeing ES preparation and quality control.
Preparation and submission of planning appeals, including representing clients at appeal and other hearings.
Remote work opportunities
Writing and editing fee proposals and reports to a high professional standard, including writing technical elements of proposals, and formulating fees with input from the Head of Team.
Formulation and submission of responses on behalf of the company on policy and planning consultations, marketing and media pieces for renewable energy and land use planning.
Management of some of their current principal clients and of new ones.
Maintain a detailed understanding of the regulations and guidance/best practice pertaining to renewable energy development on specialism
Commercial, business development, marketing & sales, Strategy & HSQE
