Belman in Milton Keynes seeks a Senior CNC Machinist to join our precision engineering team. This role focuses on 5-axis machining of prototype and low-volume, high-complexity components using Matsuura and DMG Mori machines with Fanuc controls.

You will lead production operations, optimise tooling and setups, read engineering drawings, perform in-process inspections, and drive continuous improvement within an ISO9001 environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in precision engineering.
• Expert in 5-axis machining of prototype and low-volume parts.
• Experience with Matsuura and/or DMG Mori machines.
• Advanced Fanuc control knowledge including probing, kinematics, G-code.

Responsabilités

• Set, operate and optimise 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Lead by example, maintain high workmanship and safety standards.
• Prove out prototype and new production components with feedback on tooling.
• Adhere to production control plans, quality procedures and ISO9001 standards.
• Read and interpret detailed drawings and engineering specs.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision gauges to tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production Control and Engineering teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
