Job summary

Mint Selection are partnered with a leading organisation within the energy sector to recruit an experienced Substation Electrical Supervisor for a major project based in Exeter. You will supervise electrical installation activities across a 400kV substation package, coordinating HV switchgear, protection & control panels, LV cabling and associated infrastructure.

This long-term contract role requires strong leadership, RAMS/compliance discipline and hands-on experience with transmission

Qualifications

Proven experience as Electrical Supervisor on HV substations.
5+ years in substation roles; 10+ years desirable.
Experience on 400kV or transmission-level substations is preferred.
Knowledge of RAMS, permit-to-work and QA/QC practices.
Experience with GIS/AIS and GE equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Supervise electrical installation across the 400kV substation package to meet safety, quality and programme requirements.
Oversee HV switchgear, transformers, protection & control panels, LV cabling and containment.
Coordinate with subcontractors and installation teams; resolve on-site issues.
Maintain QA/QC records, ITPs, inspections, snagging and non-conformance closure.
Manage interfaces with mechanical, civil and commissioning teams.
Promote health, safety, environment and quality culture on site.
