Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments in London is seeking an LDI Client Portfolio Manager to lead delivery of investment outcomes for UK and European pension and insurance clients on our Fixed Income desk.

You will own LDI portfolios, collaborate with fund management, and represent the team with external clients, consultants, and regulators, driving strategic solutions across multiple European jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in institutional asset management or investment consulting.
• Experience in LDI in a relevant role.
• Actuary, CFA Charterholder, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Strong leadership skills, drive and focus on goals.
• Experience in UK and Irish defined benefit pensions, including investment strategy and the client and regulatory environment.
• Highly numerate with strong modelling and analytical skills (Excel).
• High attention to detail.
• Strong collaborator with an ability to work with all types and levels of people within the organisation.
• Commercially aware.
• Comfortable with taking on responsibility and being accountable for deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: explain complex investment concepts to clients and promote Fixed Income solutions with focus on LDI for institutional clients.
• Leadership: ownership of clients’ LDI portfolios and collaboration with Fixed Income teams.
• Personal Development: maintain investment expertise and market knowledge.
• Risk Management: act with integrity and manage risks in line with regulatory requirements.
