Job summary

CD Auto Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician for a well-established Tonbridge & Malling fleet operation. The role offers a strong basic salary, daytime hours and long-term job security within a busy workshop.

You will service, maintain and repair 3.5-tonne panel vans, diagnose faults, prepare vehicles for MOT, and work Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of approximately five years’ experience working on commercial vehicles.
• Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills.
• Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Your own tools.
• Reliable transport to and from the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and commercial vehicles
• Working predominantly on 3.5-tonne panel vans
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Identifying and replacing worn or defective components
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
• Completing workshop documentation accurately
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
• Supporting the wider workshop team where required

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you an experienced LCV Technician looking for a strong basic salary, consistent daytime hours and long-term job security?

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in the Tonbridge & Malling area.

The company operates a large fleet of around 600 commercial vehicles, predominantly 3.5-tonne panel vans, supplying vehicles on long-term contracts within the utility sector.

Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add another experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to their workshop team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and commercial vehicles
• Working predominantly on 3.5-tonne panel vans

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this position, you should have:
