Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician in Derby to join a busy fleet workshop. You should have at least three years of workshop experience, a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and a Full UK Driving Licence.

LCV experience is advantageous. Salary up to £16 per hour DOE plus a £1,500 joining bonus, Monday–Friday, no weekends. The role offers a modern, well-equipped workshop, career progression, and a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• Three years of workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar.
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills.
• Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous light commercial vehicle experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Complete vehicle repairs to manufacturer and workshop standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Ensure all work meets workshop quality and safety standards.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, LCV Technician or Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Derby. Applicants must have at least three years' workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and possess a Full UK Driving Licence. Previous LCV experience is advantageous.

Salary: Up to £16 per hour DOE + £1,500 Joining Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm – No Weekends
