Job summary

Framestore is seeking layout artists (mid/senior) for their London studio, starting May 2025. You will handle CG camera animation, shot composition, and blocking to pre-visualise scenes.

This role supports upstream CG teams by providing a solid foundation for shot construction. Applicants should have strong Maya skills, a solid grasp of cinematography in virtual environments, and experience with scene layout to match previs or storyboard references.

Qualifications

• Strong Maya knowledge with problem solving skills and understanding of VFX workflow.
• Good attention to detail and proactive approach to maintaining sequence continuity and shot composition.
• Strong working knowledge of cinematography in a virtual environment.
• Experience in scene layout to match previs or storyboard references.
• Excellent understanding of practical cameras and camera techniques.

Responsibilities

• Camera/assets staging and blocking.
• Overseeing Previs and Postvis ingestion.
• Setup and maintenance of Conforms.
• Shot content maintenance for animation.
