Job summary

Coventry City Council in Coventry is recruiting a Laundry Domestic Assistant for Knightlow Lodge (and Copthorne Lodge) to provide daily laundry and cleaning services to our residents. The role is part-time, with flexibility to cover shifts between 9:00 and 3:00 on weekdays, and may be pro-rated for different posts.

You will work as part of a friendly team, maintain high cleanliness standards, follow health and safety rules, and attend necessary training.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication with residents and colleagues.

What is the job role?

The role will involve:

We are recruiting within Housing with Care for a Laundry Domestic Assistants Lodge. We provide a cleaning service to our clients on a daily basis. We are looking to appoint hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Laundry assistants to join our friendly teams. You will need to

• Ensure tenants' personal laundry, linen, etc. is maintained to a high standard and reflects the quality standards of the establishment.
• Cleaning Tenants Flats
• Be part of a team providing support and rehabilitation to tenants
• Have regard for all Health and Safety Regulations

There is 1 position on a permanent part time basis located at Knightlow Lodge and a temporary (6 month) position at Copthorne Lodge, and also relief contracts. The salary advertised is full-time salary based on 37-hour working week so will pro-rata accordingly for these roles

You will need to be available between 9.00am – 3.00pm weekdays

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

• You will require good oral and written skills in communicating with a variety of people
• You should have an awareness/knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
• You will be required to work alone and prioritise your workload
• You will be required to attend relevant training where necessary
• Flexibility to carry out the duties of the role, along with reliability to be able to attend work consistently and regularly, are key requirements of this role.
