Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes in Bolney is seeking a Laundry Assistant at Eastridge Manor, a dementia specialist home. The role involves operating washers and dryers and ensuring residents' laundry is handled with care.

We offer an hourly rate with weekday and weekend premiums, free uniform, DBS, ongoing training and career progression, a contributory pension, and a refer-a-friend scheme.

Responsibilities

• Operate Washer/Dryers to launder clothes, linens and resident belongings
• Take particular care with residents' personal laundry to prevent damage and ensure well-pressed results
• Check residents' personal laundry for tears, broken zips or missing buttons and refer to a manager if repair is needed
• Be aware of colour-coded laundry bags and the correct temperatures for laundering
• Launder and iron home curtains and nets as required
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the laundry room

South Coast Nursing Homes are recruiting for a Laundry Assistant to join our team at Eastridge Manor, our dementia specialist Nursing home in Bolney, nr Haywards Heath.

Hours

WK 1 - Tuesday 8-6, Friday 8-6

WK 2 - Tuesday 8-6, Fri 8-6, Sat 8-6, Sun 8-6

This role will involve:

• Operate Washer/Dryers to launder clothes, linens and resident personal
  belongings
• To take particular care with resident's personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
• To check resident's personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons
  and refer to manager for discussion if a repair if necessary.
• To be aware of colour coded laundry bags and the temperature required to
  launder.
• To launder and iron home curtains and nets as needed
• To maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the laundry room area
