Qualifications

• Experience with washing and ironing of textiles is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain high hygiene standards in a busy laundry area.
• Careful handling of residents' personal laundry with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate Washer/Dryer to launder clothes, linens and resident personal belongings.
• Take particular care with resident’s personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
• Check resident’s personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to manager for discussion if a repair is necessary.
• Be aware of colour coded laundry bags and the temperature required to launder.
• Launder and iron home curtains and nets as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the laundry room area.
