Crystal Care Collection is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to provide a high-quality laundry service for residents, ensuring items are cleaned, labelled, and returned promptly with dignity and respect. The role emphasizes hygiene, infection control, and a supportive team culture.

The position offers a full induction and ongoing training, with a permanent rolling rota and pay of £13.53 per hour for an average of 31.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry/housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential.
• Willing to train; good hygiene and infection prevention awareness.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service following fabric care instructions and residents' requirements.
• Label and track residents' clothing and personal items.
• Maintain hygiene, infection prevention, and safety standards at all times.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organised, and well stocked.

That's why we're looking for a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team and deliver an exceptional laundry service with care and compassion.

About the Role

As a Laundry Assistant, you'll play an important part in the daily life of our home by providing a high-quality laundry service that meets the individual needs of every resident.

You'll ensure clothing and linens are cleaned, cared for and returned promptly, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection prevention. Working closely with colleagues across the home, you'll help create an environment where residents feel valued, respected and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service, following appropriate fabric care instructions and residents' individual requirements.
• Ensure all residents' clothing and personal items are clearly labelled, well maintained and returned promptly to the correct person.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Operative and General Manager.
• Monitor the laundry environment to ensure it remains clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Use initiative to identify and deal with spillages or hazards immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending meetings and training sessions while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
• Support the wider home wherever appropriate to ensure residents receive the highest standard of service.

Working Hours and Pay

8:00am - 5:00pm

Permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off

Average 31.5 hours per week

Pay: £13.53 per hour
