Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to provide a high-quality laundry service for residents, ensuring clothes and linens are cleaned, properly labeled and returned promptly while maintaining hygiene standards.

You will work 31.5 hours per week on a rolling rota (8:00am–5:00pm) with a £13.53 per hour rate; full induction training, paid breaks, DBS check and a supportive team are provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service following fabric care instructions and residents' requirements.
• Label, maintain and return residents' clothing and personal items correctly.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Keep the laundry environment clean, organized and safe.
• Identify and deal with spillages or hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and attend meetings/training to support the team.
• Support the wider home to ensure residents receive the highest standard of service.

That\'s why we\'re looking for a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team and deliver an exceptional laundry service with care and compassion.

About the Role

As a Laundry Assistant, you\'ll play an important part in the daily life of our home by providing a high-quality laundry service that meets the individual needs of every resident.

You\'ll ensure clothing and linens are cleaned, cared for and returned promptly, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection prevention. Working closely with colleagues across the home, you\'ll help create an environment where residents feel valued, respected and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service, following appropriate fabric care instructions and residents\' individual requirements.
• Ensure all residents\' clothing and personal items are clearly labeled, well maintained and returned promptly to the correct person.
• Respect residents\' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Operative and General Manager.
• Monitor the laundry environment to ensure it remains clean, organized and safe at all times.
• Use initiative to identify and deal with spillages or hazards immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending meetings and training sessions while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
• Support the wider home wherever appropriate to ensure residents receive the highest standard of service.

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

8:00am - 5:00pm

Permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off

Average 31.5 hours per week

£13.53 per hour
