Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited is seeking a dependable Laundry Assistant to join our home. You will provide high-quality laundry services, label items, and maintain a clean, orderly environment while respecting residents' privacy.

The role runs a permanent rolling rota from 8:00am to 5:00pm, about 31.5 hours per week, with a pay rate of £13.53 per hour. Full induction and ongoing training are provided, along with benefits and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service, following fabric care instructions and residents' requirements.
• Ensure all residents' clothing and personal items are clearly labelled, well maintained and returned promptly.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Monitor the laundry environment to keep it clean, organised and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service, following appropriate fabric care instructions and residents' individual requirements.
• Ensure all residents' clothing and personal items are clearly labelled, well maintained and returned promptly to the correct person.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Operative and General Manager.
• Monitor the laundry environment to ensure it remains clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Use initiative to identify and deal with spillages or hazards immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending meetings and training sessions while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
• Support the wider home wherever appropriate to ensure residents receive the highest standard of service.

About You

Working Pattern

8:00am 5:00pm Permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off Average 31.5 hours per week Pay £13.53 per hour
