Job summary

Ashgrove Care Home is recruiting a Laundry Assistant in Dunoon. The role involves washing, drying, ironing and returning items with clear labelling, while maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area.

You will follow infection control and health and safety procedures to provide a reliable service for residents. This hands-on position requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team, contributing to a comfortable living

Our purpose-built care home offers exemplary standards of Residential and Nursing care for 65-residents.

Laundry Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents’ clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard, supporting comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. This is a hands on role where attention to detail and organisation are essential.

You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and returning items correctly, ensuring all clothing is clearly labelled and handled with care. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area, you will ensure all processes are carried out safely and efficiently.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures, ensuring a consistent and reliable service that contributes to a well organised and comfortable environment.
