Job summary

Boclair Care Home, part of CARE CONCERN GROUP LIMITED, is seeking a Laundry Assistant to support residents' comfort and wellbeing by caring for clothing and linen to high standards.

The role covers washing, drying, ironing and returning items, ensuring items are labelled and handled with care, while maintaining a clean, orderly laundry area in line with infection control and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Job description

This luxurious, private care facility is situated in the affluent suburb of Glasgow. The care home offers elegant accommodation for up to 80-residents along with outstanding Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care.

Laundry Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 20 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents’ clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard, supporting comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. This is a hands on role where attention to detail and organisation are essential.

You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and returning items correctly, ensuring all clothing is clearly labelled and handled with care. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area, you will ensure all processes are carried out safely and efficiently.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures, ensuring a consistent and reliable service that contributes to a well organised and comfortable environment.
