Job summary

Flexzo Teach is seeking Teaching Assistant Apprentices to join local alternative provisions. You will support learners with SEMH/SEND needs, work daytime hours (Mon–Thu, 09:30–14:30), and build trusting relationships to help students succeed.

This paid apprenticeship provides hands-on experience while you pursue a formal education qualification. The role offers direct engagement with local settings, a supportive team, and opportunities to apply new skills in real teaching moments.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn to help young people succeed.
• Ability to work with learners with SEMH or SEND needs.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with SEMH/SEND needs in an Alternative Provision setting.
• Maintain a safe, encouraging learning environment with staff support.
• Build positive relationships to help learners progress emotionally and academically.
• Adapt approaches to meet individual student needs for accessible learning.
• Contribute to apprenticeship training and apply new skills day-to-day.
