Job summary

Optiver is expanding its Digital Assets trading capabilities and seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen the Global Cloud Platforms group. You will design and run a low-latency, secure cloud platform for a latency-sensitive trading environment, focused on performance, resilience, and safe change management.

You will work on IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt), CI/CD, and observability, collaborating with exchanges and internal stakeholders to support continuous trading operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning production infrastructure (Platform, SRE, or Infra Eng)
• Deep cloud knowledge: VPC design, compute optimization, networking features
• Experience with Terraform modules and IaC reviews, testing, and deployments
• Strong Linux fundamentals, networking, and systems performance tuning
• Programming ability in Python or Go for tooling and automation
• Excellent collaboration and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design low-latency infrastructure using cloud primitives and optimized configurations
• Own and optimize cloud infrastructure performance setups
• Build and run high-throughput, resilient connectivity patterns for exchange integrations
• Drive security hygiene with secrets management, network segmentation and traffic isolation
• Implement governance and best practices for safe multi-tenant operation
• Deliver infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt
• Build and maintain CI/CD and automated testing for changes in always-on markets
• Implement observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools
• Participate in incident response, post-incident improvements, and continuous hardening
