Job summary

The Exchange is seeking a hands-on Late Shift Production Supervisor to lead safe, efficient manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement on site. You will coordinate people, materials and equipment to maintain a smooth flow from raw materials to finished goods.

Working closely with the Production and Engineering Manager, you will set daily priorities, support the shop-floor team and help improve productivity, quality and delivery performance while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading people in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and continuous improvement.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Solid health and safety understanding, PPE usage and safe systems of work.
• Ability to monitor KPIs and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production in line with customer priorities and MRP cards.
• Maintain production ERP/MRP systems and ensure records are accurate.
• Confirm that raw materials, labour and equipment are available for start and run.
• Monitor output, downtime and lead times; drive cost reductions.
• Lead shop-floor personnel with fair performance management with HR.
• Communicate priorities through direction and toolbox talks; enforce policies.
• Maintain safe working conditions, PPE, housekeeping, guarding and safe systems.
• Record incidents, hazards, near misses and maintenance needs promptly.
• Support KPI reviews and continuous-improvement audits (ISO references).
• Promote team development and professional conduct.
