Job summary

Orion Electrotech is recruiting for a Night Shift CNC Laser Setter Operator in Derby. You will join a busy manufacturing team, setting and operating CNC laser cutting machines to ensure quality output and efficient production on 12-hour night shifts.

The role involves loading programs, tooling adjustments, and interpreting technical drawings to match exact specifications. A strong work ethic and experience in sheet metal/mfg environments are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Laser Setter Operator.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Knowledge of machine set-up, offsets and quality inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

Job Title: CNC Laser Setter Operator

Night Shift CNC Laser Setter Operator (4 Positions Available)
Location:Derby
Salary:Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern:Monday–Thursday (4 on / 3 off) 6:00pm – 6:00am (12-hour shifts)

Future shift pattern may move to 4 on / 4 off About the Role We are currently recruiting 4 Night Shift CNC Laser Setter Operators to join a busy, modern manufacturing environment operating 24/7. Following a recent £2 million investment in brand-new machinery, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and forward-thinking production team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll primarily set and operate CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and machine optimisation within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
