Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a Laser Punch Operator for a busy sheet metal fabrication company in Maidenhead, Berkshire. You will operate Amada Laser Punch equipment, read drawings and ensure quality to drawing specifications.

This permanent role offers flexible shift patterns (day, late or night) with a starting salary of £18-£20 per hour, depending on experience. UK right to work is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Amada Laser Punch machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CNC programmes.
• Set up, tool changes and minor troubleshooting.
• Commitment to producing high-quality parts and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate Amada Laser Punch equipment for production runs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, nesting plans and work orders accurately.
• Load tooling, fixtures and materials; adjust machine parameters for material type and thickness.
• Monitor production for quality; perform in-process inspections and final checks.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of machines.
• Report faults and work with maintenance to resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records, timesheets and material usage logs.
• Follow health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

New opportunity at this busy sheet metal fabrication company for someone to operate this Amada Laser Punch combination machine. You will produce high-quality components to drawing specifications, and contribute to a safe, efficient workshop environment.

This role can be offered on a day, late or night shift and the company has flexibility to adjust start and finish times to suit.

Key responsibilities

This is a permanent role with a starting salary dependant on experience and shift. You must have current UK right to work to be considered.
