Job summary

WEC in Darwen, Lancashire, is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join the Laser team. The role reports to the Laser Manager and runs Monday to Thursday, 9:30pm–6:30am, supporting various projects in a dynamic engineering environment.

The successful candidate will operate flat bed laser equipment, read engineering drawings, understand materials, and maintain high workmanship standards while contributing to productivity improvements within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Flat Bed Laser Operator, Trumpf or Bystronic advantageous
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge of metals advantageous
• Able to set and maintain high workmanship standards
• Able to work pro-actively and as part of a team to improve productivity
