Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a skilled Laser Operator for a Derby-based precision sheet metal manufacturer. The role focuses on operating a flatbed laser, reading drawings, and maintaining quality in a fast-paced production environment.

You will work 4 on 4 off days, 6:00am-6:00pm, with ongoing training and career progression.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience operating flatbed laser machinery.
• Experience in sheet metal manufacturing.
• Experience with shift patterns.
• Capable of fast-paced, high-volume production.
• Willing to learn and develop within the business.
• Dual-skilled to support multiple production areas (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed laser cutting machinery in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Ensure production targets are met with high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out quality inspections of finished components.
• Support production across different areas as required.

Our client is a leading precision manufacturing company based in Derby who are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Laser Operator with flatbed laser experience who is looking for long-term career progression and continuous development.

Shift Details:

• 4 on, 4 off day shift pattern
• 6:00am - 6:00pm
• Immediate start available
