Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Laser Operator for a permanent role in Nottingham (near Beeston). You will read technical drawings and operate laser machinery in a modern, fast-paced sheet metal fabrication environment.

Hours are 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Pay up to £17 per hour (£35,360 p.a.) with overtime bringing earnings above £40k; onsite parking, pension, and training support career development.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser machinery.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
• First Aid qualification desirable.

The Basics:

Role: Laser Operator

Position: Permanent

Location: Nottingham - near Beeston

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm

Contracted hours per week: 40hrs

Pay rates are dependent on experience: Up to £17 per hour - £35,360 per annum + Overtime = earnings of £40k and upwards achievable

Overtime: Paid at x1.5

Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, company pension, onsite parking, training and career development.

Working in modern, fast paced sheet metal precision fabrication business we now require a Laser Operator to join the team.

Required / Desirable Skills:

• Competent at reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser machinery
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
• First Aid qualification (desirable).

Commutable from: Nottingham, Long Eaton, Beeston and surrounding areas.
