Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Laser Operator for a permanent role in the Nottingham area near Beeston. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm, 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.

Pay up to £17/hour (£35,360/year) with overtime potentially pushing earnings beyond £40k. The successful candidate will work in a modern sheet metal fabrication environment, with training and career development on offer.

Qualifications

• Competent at reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser machinery.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
• First Aid qualification (desirable).

Job description

The Basics:

Role: Laser Operator
Position: Permanent
Location: Nottingham - near Beeston
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm
Contracted hours per week: 40hrs
Pay rates are dependent on experience:
Up to £17 per hour - £35,360 per annum + Overtime = earnings of £40k and upwards achievable
Overtime: Paid at x1.5
Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, company pension, onsite parking, training and career development.

Overview:

Working in modern, fast paced sheet metal precision fabrication business we now require a Laser Operator to join the team.

The ideal candidate / Laser Operator may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Competent at reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser machinery
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
• First Aid qualification (desirable).Commutable from:

Nottingham, Long Eaton, Beeston and surrounding areas.
