Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group in Nottingham near Beeston seeks a Laser Operator for a permanent, 40-hour weekly shift. Pay up to £17/hour (£35,360 p.a.) with overtime opportunities that can push earnings above £40k.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings is desirable.
• Experience with laser machinery brands Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar is desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is desirable.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• First Aid qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Join a modern, fast paced sheet metal fabrication team as Laser Operator.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Operate Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser machinery.
• Utilise ERP/MRP systems in production planning.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives where possible.

The Basics: Role: Laser Operator
Position: Permanent
Location: Nottingham - near Beeston
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm
Contracted hours per week: 40hrs
Pay rates are dependent on experience: Up to £17 per hour - £35,360 per annum + Overtime = earnings of £40k and upwards achievable
Overtime: Paid at x1.5
Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, company pension, onsite parking, training and career development.
Overview: Working in modern, fast paced sheet metal precision fabrication business we now require a Laser Operator to join the team.
The ideal candidate / Laser Operator may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Competent at reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser machinery
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
• First Aid qualification (desirable).

Commutable from: Nottingham, Long Eaton, Beeston and surrounding areas.
