Job summary

Mars Recruitment is seeking a Laser Applications Engineer in Didcot to join a high-performing laboratory team. The role focuses on developing laser micromachining processes for customers and running production work on state-of-the-art laser systems covering UV to IR and femtosecond to nanosecond pulses.

The successful candidate will have a good degree (or MSc) in Lasers/Optical Engineering/Physics or related field, practical laser applications experience, and solid IT skills.

Qualifications

• Good degree or MSc in Lasers or Optical Engineering or Physics or Engineering or similar qualification plus equivalent practical experience.
• Practical laser applications experience is advantageous.
• Industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers and run production work.
• Work with state-of-the-art laser systems spanning UV to IR and femtosecond to nanosecond pulses.
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to optimise laser applications.
