Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Ashton-under-Lyne invites applications for a Landscape Technician Chargehand in the Estates Team. The role is in a two-person crew with occasional lone working, 40 hours per week, and a salary of £27,964–£29,436 per year.

You will maintain estates, perform mowing, hedge work, weed control, flytip removal and safety tasks, with record-keeping via smartphone/tablet. UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline.
• Some practical experience operating machinery and recent experience in a similar role.
• Some experience supervising others.
• This role requires a full valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance using commercial tools, machinery and chemicals to keep estates neat, tidy and safe.
• Carrying out ad-hoc tasks such as flytip removal, bin store clean, jet washing, planting/landscaping.
• Provide supervisory support to keep estates well maintained and clean in line with horticultural practices.
