Job summary

Centric Talent is aiding a Surrey-based landscaping and civil engineering specialist by recruiting an Estimator to join its team in Chobham. The role focuses on tender preparation for projects from £100k to £5m, with hybrid working.

You will interpret drawings, price bills of quantities in Excel, review tender information for risks, and liaise with clients and design teams while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within landscaping and/or construction.

Responsibilities

• Measure and interpret PDF drawings to support accurate estimates.
• Prepare tender documentation and contribute to the full bid submission process.
• Price bills of quantities, typically using Microsoft Excel.
• Review tender information, identify commercial and delivery risks, and raise these with the Company Directors.
• Attend project meetings and site visits where required.
• Liaise with clients and design teams throughout the tender process.
• Manage competing deadlines while maintaining accurate estimating records.

Working hours - Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

The client is an award-winning landscaping and civil engineering specialist, delivering high-quality projects throughout the UK. Its portfolio includes work for local authorities, royal parks, commercial developers, schools and universities, and high-end residential developers. The business has built long-standing client relationships through trust, expertise and quality workmanship over more than five decades.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to join its team. Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will prepare and submit tender packages for projects valued from approximately £100,000 to £5 million. The schemes cover high-quality hard and soft landscaping, with Blakedown operating as the main contractor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Measure and interpret PDF drawings to support accurate project estimates.
