Job summary

Centric Talent is aiding a Surrey-based landscaping and civil engineering specialist by recruiting an Estimator to join its team in Chobham. The role focuses on tender preparation for projects from £100k to £5m, with hybrid working.

You will interpret drawings, price bills of quantities in Excel, review tender information for risks, and liaise with clients and design teams while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within landscaping and/or construction.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues and designers.

Responsibilities

• Measure and interpret PDF drawings to support accurate estimates.
• Prepare tender documentation and contribute to the full bid submission process.
• Price bills of quantities, typically using Microsoft Excel.
• Review tender information, identify commercial and delivery risks, and raise these with the Company Directors.
• Attend project meetings and site visits where required.
• Liaise with clients and design teams throughout the tender process.
• Manage competing deadlines while maintaining accurate estimating records.
