Job summary

WSP UK is seeking a Landscape Architect or Landscape Planner to join the UK Landscape & Urban Design team. You will work on landscape infrastructure, development projects and LVIA/TVIA assessments, collaborating with a diverse team across the UK.

You will independently manage smaller projects, support bid delivery, and mentor junior staff while engaging with clients, workshops and stakeholders to shape external environments and urban spaces.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
• Postgraduate diploma / Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
• Experience delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
• Experience of managing landscape design during construction desirable and strong technical skills with Autodesk, Bentley, or Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage smaller projects and support delivery of specific tasks within larger projects.
• Prepare technical information for landscape infrastructure and development projects.
• Conduct LVIA and TVIA as part of landscape and urban design work.
• Prepare sketches and detailed design, including general arrangement drawings, hard & soft construction detailing, schedules & specification to support planning applications.
• Tender and construction packages, construction/post-construction inspections.
• Support the continued development of relationships with existing and new clients in public and private sectors.
• Supporting the preparation of bids ranging from small to complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Managing and delegation of project work to junior members of the team.
• Client facing role, involving design advice, attending workshops and stakeholder events.
