Job summary

NG Bailey Group in the UK is seeking a Land Officer to secure land rights for 33kV and below distribution assets across Scotland, Cheshire, Merseyside, North Shropshire and North Wales. You will support delivery of infrastructure projects by obtaining permissions and coordinating with landowners and legal teams.

The role involves negotiating terms, preparing documentation, and using statutory processes from notices to wayleaves, while ensuring safety and asset security.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Electricity Act 1989 and planning/regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in land rights processes and landowner relations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide land rights services for distribution projects and maintain assets.
• Proactively manage projects to resolve land rights delays.
• Advise project managers on land rights and alternative solutions.
• Negotiate with landowners to secure consents and manage compensation.
• Prepare land rights documentation and record transactions.
• Support legal teams with information for land rights proceedings.
• Conduct site visits and maintain access during construction.
• Assist in drafting applications for necessary wayleave.
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements.
