Job summary

Rubicon People Partnership is seeking a Laminator to produce high-precision GRP components in our on-site workshop in the United Kingdom. You will lay up multiple layers of fibreglass and carbon fibre as part of the build process, ensuring surfaces are prepped and moulds are ready for finishing.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on GRP production experience, familiarity with carbon fibre processes, and the ability to work independently to strict quality standards in a stable, long-term role

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in a GRP production environment.
• Familiarity with carbon fibre processes is desirable but not required.
• Strong working knowledge of wet lay-up, infusion, or prepreg processes (one or more).
• A mature, measured approach to precision manufacturing work.
• Confidence working independently to high quality and production standards.
• Experience in aerospace, marine, or automotive composites is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Laying up six layers of E-glass fibreglass webbing around pipes to specification.
• Fitting heat shells and applying carbon fibre outer layers as part of the build process.
• Preparing moulds, applying release agents, and ensuring surfaces are correctly prepped.
• Carrying out inspection of finished laminates and flagging any defects.
• Supporting the wider team to maintain a clean and organised workshop.
