Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Composite Laminator in Leeds to join a growing manufacturing team producing high-quality pre-preg composite components for specialist engineering projects.

The role requires experience laminating composite parts in motorsport, automotive, or aerospace environments, with an emphasis on precision and adherence to tight tolerances. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with standard day shifts and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience within motorsport, automotive, aerospace, or similar quality-focused manufacturing environment.
• Experience laminating composite parts with minimal supervision.
• Confidence reading technical drawings and lay-up manuals.
• An understanding of material orientation is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Good time management and the ability to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lamination of pre-preg composite components.
• Read and interpret lay-up specifications and technical drawings.
• Prepare, seal and release tooling.
• Vacuum bag components for oven and autoclave curing.
• Demould finished composite parts.
• Operate autoclaves and ovens.
• Cut and prepare core materials.
• Identify and rectify laminating defects.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

About You
