Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Labourer/Driver to join GAP Pump & Power Services Division. The role focuses on keeping the depot clean, inspecting equipment, and ensuring timely delivery and collection to customers across the UK.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar environment, a valid driving licence, and a good understanding of health and safety guidelines. Forklift experience is a plus, with staff benefits and development opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hire depot or yard environment is preferred.
• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial.
• Understanding and following Health & Safety protocols is essential.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail are important.
• A full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep depot areas clean and tidy on a daily basis.
• Ensure equipment leaving the depot is checked and maintained to high standards.
• Coordinate timely delivery and collection of GAP Group equipment to and from customers.

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

Working in the heart of the depot the Labourer/Driver will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards. You will also ensure timeous professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment
• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential
