Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Labourer/Driver to join GAP Pump & Power Services Division. The role involves keeping the depot clean, ensuring equipment is checked and maintained, and facilitating the timely delivery and collection of Pump & Power equipment to customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, a full driving licence, and a focus on health and safety. Forklift licence is a bonus. GAP Group offers an employee-friendly culture with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Forklift licence would be highly beneficial
• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and ability to follow guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential

Responsibilities

• Keep all areas of the depot clean and tidy on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure equipment leaving the depot is checked and maintained to high standards.
• Deliver and collect Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers in a timely, professional manner.

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

Working in the heart of the depot the Labourer/Driver will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards. You will also ensure timeous professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment
• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential
