Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a Labourer/Driver for GAP Pump & Power Services Division. Based at the depot, you will keep the yard tidy and ensure equipment leaving the depot is checked to high standards, while supporting timely deliveries and collections for customers.

The role requires a valid driving licence, health and safety awareness, and strong customer service. Forklift experience is beneficial, with opportunities for progression within GAP Hire Solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in a hire depot or yard.
• Forklift Licence is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and following guidelines in the workplace.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep depot areas clean and tidy on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure equipment leaving the depot is checked and maintained to high standards.
• Deliver and collect Pump & Power equipment to GAP Group customers in a timely manner.

About the role

Our team is the best in the industry – is it time for you to join us? GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions. Working in the heart of the depot the Labourer/Driver will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards. You will also ensure timeous professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

About You

• Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment


• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial


• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace


• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail


• Full driving licence is essential
