Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a proactive Labourer to support our Plant & Tool Division in the Dundee area. You will help keep the depot clean and safe, prep hire equipment, and assist the team in delivering excellent service to construction and infrastructure customers.

This hands-on role offers real career progression within a growing family-run business. Responsibilities include maintaining tidy workshops and yards, fueling and inspecting equipment, and assisting with loading, unloading, and driving

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Cleaning plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion.
• Refuelling plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs.
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready.
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required.
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Operating forklift when necessary.
