Job summary

GAP Group in Heathrow is hiring a proactive Labourer for our Plant & Tools Division. In this hands-on role you will help keep the depot organized, prepare plant equipment for hire and support the team delivering excellent service to customers across construction and infrastructure projects.

With 42.5 contract hours per week and opportunities for real progression, you’ll join a growing, customer‑focused business that values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally in a hire depot or yard.
• Strong team player with willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Driving licence required; CSCS card and/or forklift licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Refuelling plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from customer sites in a safe, timely and professional manner, ensuring all relevant checks and associated administration are completed accurately
