Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a proactive Labourer to join our Plant & Tool Division in Bristol. You will help keep the depot clean, prepare plant equipment for hire, and support the team to deliver excellent service across construction and utilities sectors.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
  • Cleaning plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
  • Refuelling plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs
  • Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
  • Assisting with general workshop duties as required
  • Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
  • Operating forklift when necessary

As a Labourer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our depot runs smoothly and safely. You'll maintain a clean and hazard-free workshop and yard, prepare plant equipment for hire, and support the wider team to deliver exceptional service to our customers across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

What You'll Be Doing
