Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is recruiting a proactive Labourer to join our Trenching & Shoring Division at a UK depot. You will help keep the workshop and yard clean, prep equipment for hire, and support the wider team to deliver exceptional service to customers across construction, utilities and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a labourer in a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Keep the workshop and yard clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Clean equipment and store it in an orderly fashion.
• Quality-check equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready.
• Assist with general workshop duties as required.
• Carry out driving duties (if licensed) and help Drivers and customers with loading/unloading.
• Operate forklift when necessary.

About You

What You'll Be Doing

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
• Operating forklift when necessary

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous
