Job summary

Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced midwife to lead the Labour Ward. You will provide visible leadership, support operational management, and drive safe, compassionate intrapartum care for women, birthing people and families.

You will work with the Labour Ward Manager in a job-share arrangement, targeting staff development, governance, and continuous service improvement while promoting a positive safety culture across the maternity service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maternity/ Labour Ward teams.
• Strong leadership skills and commitment to staff development.
• Experience in governance, safety and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and operational management of the Labour Ward.
• Contribute to workforce development and safe staffing.
• Support governance, risk management and quality improvement activity.
• Collaborate with obstetric, anaesthetic, neonatal and governance colleagues.
