Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Carlisle invites motivated individuals to join as a Laboratory Technician Apprentice. You will learn hands-on laboratory skills while working toward a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, earning while you train.

You will support testing, sample prep, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. No previous laboratory experience required; full training and ongoing support provided, with progression opportunities upon completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.
• Basic writing and numeracy skills required.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Ability to work unsupervised following a planned work schedule.
• Good IT skills and ability to record data accurately.

CA6 4SD. We are looking for a motivated and practical Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratory team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, developing hands‑on laboratory skills while working towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.

• - Familiarity with computers / keyboards / typing skills
• - Word, Excel, Access – statistics, graphs, data analysis

About the role:

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.

Key duties include:

• Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing
