Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is offering a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship. You will support day-to-day laboratory work, assist with testing, prepare samples, record results, and keep equipment clean and safe.
This paid apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with off-the-job learning, with full training and support provided and no prior laboratory experience required.
As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.
Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision
Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing
Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records
Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
Following health & safety procedures and quality standards

Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship
Combination of on‑the‑job training and off‑the‑job learning

An interest in science and laboratory work
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Basic IT skills
GCSEs (or predicted grades), particularly Maths and Science, are desirable but not essential
Earn while gaining a nationally recognised qualification
Develop practical skills for a long‑term career in science or laboratory work
Supportive working and learning environment

GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.
Laboratory Technician Level 3
Because of the technical experience you will gain from working in a laboratory, you will gain skills which many graduates have yet to develop. If you have practical ability, ability to solve problems and good communication skills there are opportunities for progression towards higher qualifications.
